I'm sorry that you have had trouble with disabling the ads on tourney pages. However, I can assure you that it's still possible for you to do so.
We're working on a way to more easily allow members to disable ads on tourney pages. In the meantime, you can follow these steps to disable ads on tourney pages:
1) Verify that cookies are enabled in your browser, and that no security software is blocking/deleting cookies on your computer.
2) Log into your League page.
3) Click on the "My Account" tab.
4) Click on the "Site Preferences" link, which is located in the "My Options" box.
5) In the pop-up window, scroll down and click on the "Site Preferences" button.
6) On the site preferences page, choose "Disable most ads" and click "Change."
7) Follow the on-screen prompts, and click the various links to get through the process.
8) When you are done, return to the League page with the pop-up window, and click on the greyed-out part of the page to return to your usual view.
This process disables ads on all the Official Case's Ladders, Team Leagues, and Tournament pages. It will last for 1 year, or until you clear your cookies. At that time, you'll have to repeat the process. I have verified that this process works on my computer, so it should work for you as well. :)
Again, we are working on a way to make this easier, and perhaps even tie it in to the current "Disable Ads" tool. However, that is much easier said than done, given that our site uses multiple domains.
